Welcome to Jessyca's Page!

"Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble."
-John Lewis

Greetings!
Welcome to my page! I hope you find the resources you need to move forward in making good trouble in education, writing, and society! I hope to help young people become world changers with my work and inspire educators to move forward in anti-bias, anti-racist, and revolutionist education. Take John Lewis's quote to heart, and begin to take steps to make this world a better place.
Much Love, Peace, and Honor to You!
Jes

Jessyca's Featured Essay in The Washington Post

The massive rumbles of thunder surprise me from my sleep. With heart racing, I turn over to look at the time. It’s only 4:30 a.m. I could try to sleep for another hour and a half, but my mind has other plans. As I sit up and look out the window, I gaze at the dark, mysterious sky.
I am exhausted, but I must start my day because it is time for the inevitable.
I must report to the Factory today.
